Well-known film critic. She wrote (in co-operation with Wojciech Kodowski and Barbara Kosecka) a lexicon Panorama kina najnowszego 1980-1995 (Panorama of the Latest Cinema 1980-1995) (1997). She is the author of the book Szukając von Triera (Looking for Von Trier), describing the films of the well-known Danish director. She publishes her texts most often in Tygodnik Powszechny. She selects films for the programme of the Krakow Film Festival and sits in various juries. Her passion is the culture of the Middle East and Maghreb. She cannot imagine life without red wine, books and a few close friends.

At the 2nd Conrad Festival she will give an introductory speech before the film directed by Michael Haneke in 1976 Drei Wege zum See (Three Roads to the Lake) – 9th November (Tuesday), at 7.00 p.m., room „U Samurajów” of the National Museum in Krakow (Al. 3. Maja 1).
