15. Book Fair in Krakow

Umberto Eco's words Do not think that books will disappear became the slogan of the 15th anniversary edition of the Book Fair in Krakow.

The 15th edition of the Krakow Book Fair in Krakow in a nutshell:
- Fair guests will include: Prof. Władysław Bartoszewski, Marek Kamiński, Wojciech Kuczok and Maria Nurowska. View an updated list of invited guests.
- An extensive programme of side-events, including: Goncourt List: Polish selection 2011. The Book Fair in Krakow is a nationwide event bringing together hundreds of publishers and thousands of literature lovers in a single place and at the same time. Participants include media representatives, eminent scholars, bestselling writers, as well as representatives of the printing and bookselling industries.

In the last 14 years, the Book Fair has been visited by 250,000 people!

The Book Fair in Krakow is a multifaceted event consisting of Polish and foreign publishers’ presentations of publications, exhibitions, discussion panels, competitions, talks and presentations in seminar rooms, meetings with authors, theatrical shows and film screenings, concerts and book promotions. The Fair’s events are held throughout the city.
The 15th Book Fair in Krakow has been brought under the honorary patronage of the Polish President Bronisław Komorowski and is held under the calendar of the National Programme for the Polish EU Presidency 2011.
